Bath Mats & Bath Rugs
A bath mat and a bath rug are not the same thing, and the difference decides which one belongs at your tub. Bath mats are flat, towel-like cotton — usually terry or ringspun, often reversible, no rubber backing. They soak up standing water fast, wash with your towels, and dry quickly, which is why hotels use them. Bath rugs are thicker and plusher — chenille, microfiber, or memory foam over a non-slip backing. They feel better underfoot and look more like furniture, but they hold moisture longer and need more care.
Below you'll find both: hotel-style cotton mats for right outside the shower, and cushioned rugs for the rest of the bathroom floor. Not sure which you need? Read Bath Mat vs. Bath Rug first.
